Larimar, also known as the Atlantis Stone, is only found in the Dominican Republic and is therefore particularly rare. It is a variety of pectolite, a mineral found in volcanic rock. 
Larimar is believed to have metaphysical properties associated with tranquility, clarity, creativity and communication.
