Prices for Australian opals vary greatly depending on color rarity, pattern, brightness, base tone, shape, and the quality of the cut and polish. Black opals are the most valuable due to their dark base tone, which intensifies the play of colors. Opals with consistent, vibrant color, strong contrasts, and unique patterns are highly valued. Particularly brilliant opals with rare patterns can fetch prices of over CHF 10,000 per carat.

• 💧 Avoid contact with chemicals – please remove it when showering, swimming, cleaning, etc. Perfume, chlorine, lotions, and cleaning products can damage both the opal and the silver.
  
• ☀️ Protect from strong sunlight – Opals are sensitive to intense UV radiation and strong temperature fluctuations.
  
• 📦 Store carefully & protect from impacts – Silver and opals are relatively soft materials and are sensitive to pressure or impact.
  

Polish: Gently polish with the included treated polishing cloth. Note: The cloth is waterproof—please do not wash.

Cleaning: Gently clean with mild soap and lukewarm water – e.g., using a soft toothbrush.

When working with gemstones, I use only high-quality, natural stones, which I source from experienced cutters.
